Events in an employee’s life necessarily result in absence from the workplace. How much leeway does the employer have?
Is there a deadline for giving notice? Can a leave be refused? Are there specific protections for employees? Does the employer have any recourse?
Together we will answer these questions and review the characteristics of extraordinary leave, unjustified absences, employees on sick leave and pregnant employees, using examples drawn from our advisory and litigation experience.
Conference in French.
